Introducing our new product: a glass dome, an impressive hemisphere-shaped structure that combines elegance with durability, the natural beauty of knotless pine, and aesthetics. This dome is perfect for those who seek a unique and eye-catching addition to their residential, commercial, or recreational spaces.
The dome structure is made of laminated/knotless pine, a material we have been using for many years in the production of Scandinavian-style wooden windows. The laminated/glued knotless pine is resistant to cracks and wood deformations.
The spherical shape of the dome provides exceptional strength and stability, allowing it to withstand various weather conditions and structural loads. Its unique shape evenly distributes loads throughout the dome structure.
The glass-covered dome is another outstanding feature, allowing natural light to penetrate inside and creating a bright and spacious atmosphere, reducing reliance on artificial lighting during the day. The glass-covered dome offers endless possibilities for use, whether it's a stylish and functional living space, a relaxation area, an artist's studio, or a unique venue for events. We use only safe glass for glazing, often tinted or mirrored. Additionally, for those seeking a fully insulated structure, we can offer a dome with a glass packages.
Quick and efficient assembly
The dome structure allows for fast and hassle-free installation. Precisely cut components fit together seamlessly, reducing construction time and effort. Whether you are a DIY enthusiast or rely on professional assistance, the dome can be built in a short amount of time. In our production process, we not only assemble the triangles but also pre-drill the mounting holes.
One of the goals in designing the dome was to achieve a flat perimeter base, creating a smooth dome bottom that maintains the structural integrity.
When ordering a glass dome, you will receive all the necessary components, intermediate pieces, screws, screw caps, structural silicone, and assembly instructions. The construction details/modules will be securely packaged, so there's no need to worry about transportation damage or scratches.
The assembly of the dome is relatively fast, but the glazing process requires patience and precision and takes the most time.
Standard glass domes are equipped with four opening circular windows at the top, allowing for ventilation during hot summer seasons, while the suspended glass roof protects against precipitation.
Glass domes are particularly suitable for regions with cooler climates, strong winds, and abundant rainfall. Due to these factors, glass domes are gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries. When the sun shines, even minimally, the dome quickly heats up, allowing you to extend the picturesque sitting season during cool autumn days and early spring. During the summer season, we recommend considering the installation of air conditioning, which will serve you well even in winter, providing heating for the dome.

Painting of wooden structures:
Wooden structure components can be painted in any color according to the NCS/RAL color palette, allowing them to blend with the existing facade of your home. When choosing a dark color for a dome that will be installed on the southern or western side of a building, it is recommended to consider the potential risk of resin exudation. The sun heats up the dark-colored wood intensely, causing the hidden resins within to heat up, liquefy, expand, and seep out to the surface.
For those who appreciate natural aesthetics, we can also offer wooden structures to be varnished/stained according to the color code, as shown in the sample photo below, or left completely untreated.
